Douglas attended Georgia State University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After graduation he went to work in public accounting and that's where he has remained for the majority of his career. He has always gravitated toward small accounting firms due to the relationships that can be established with clients and also coworkers. Several years into his career Douglas went back to school and got his MBA in Accounting which allowed him to fulfill his lifelong goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). After a one year break in public accounting to serve as an assistant controller, the desire to own his own public accounting firm was too great.
Douglas is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and currently studying to receive his insurance license. His hope is that the firm will become a one stop location for clients, where they can receive all the services they need under one roof.
Douglas currently lives in Monroe with his wife Amber, his daughter Madeline, and his two dogs. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and working out.
